Guest Welcoming

When the guest opens the door, everything should be ready — a half-hearted welcome won't do. The moment we walk in, we check the rooms one by one. Are the beds made properly? Are the towels in place? Is there soap in the bathroom? Is the tea and coffee ready in the kitchen? We check it all. Because we've learned this: guests make up their minds in the first 5 minutes. They either go 'wow' or 'hmm'. We work to make them say 'wow'.

First, we open the windows to let the house air out. Everyone knows a closed-up apartment smells musty. After airing, we set up the welcome kits — tea, coffee, sugar, a few bottles of water. These seem like small things, but guests notice and mention them in reviews. Then we move to the bathroom: checking shampoo, shower gel, soap, toilet paper. We check the kitchen for dish soap, sponges, and trash bags. We inspect the plumbing — is there a leak or not? We test the outlets, AC, and hot water. Finally, we make the beds just like a hotel and fold the towels neatly. We leave a welcome note and place a card on the table with the Wi-Fi password and house rules. So when the guest walks in, they feel right at home — that's what we strive for.
